Senior Vice President of Public Affairs, California Apartment Association

Rhovy Lyn Antonio is the Senior Vice President of Public Affairs for the California Apartment Association (CAA), the nation’s largest statewide trade group representing rental housing owners and operators. Rhovy covers local jurisdictions in the Silicon Valley and East Bay where she has served as the primary liaison for San Mateo, Alameda, Contra Costa Counties, and the Greater Bay Area. She is a member of the San Mateo County Home for All Steering Committee and San Mateo Area Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors.

Rhovy manages the local public and legislative affairs program developing strategies and building coalitions to foster a favorable climate. As a subject matter expert for public policy issues in the rental housing industry, Rhovy works directly with elected officials, city/county staff, and coalition partners on legislation impacts and risk mitigations. She also oversees the local political action committee (PAC) program which helps cultivate candidates seeking local offices and conducts voter education outreach. In San Mateo, Alameda, and Contra Costa Counties, Rhovy has worked on local ballot initiatives, led successful campaigns, and supported numerous candidates in city and county offices.

Prior to joining CAA, Rhovy served as Chief of Staff to a San Jose City Council official and worked on land use and community development issues for the City of San Jose for eight years. She earned a degree in Political Science from San Jose State University and studied international public policy in France. Rhovy’s volunteer work include serving in Human Services Commission for the City of Livermore, school board member, and various duties in her local church and schools.
